Bakery and confectionery goods. This store has lots of samples of their products for you to try, and a fresh foods section at the back where you can try their famous cream puffs and soft serve ice cream. The store is usually packed with tourists due to the free samples available.

Kita no yumme dome and melon soft ice cream were so tasty. You can have a seat at the patio.

Best cream puffs around. 180YEN each, not too pricey. Its popularity is gigantic though, so it's quite overrun by tourists during events such as the Snow Festival. I'd loved to stay there and sit while I eat my cream puffs, but they only have a couple of chairs available - the place is not meant as a café.

One of the best dessert shops you will find on famous Sakaimachi street in Otaru. The cream puff is soft and fluffy outside and the generous delicious cream filling will ooze out as you bite in. As with many desserts in Japan, they are cheap and tasty and this will cost you only ¥ 180. Make sure you enter the right store as there is another building that sells cream puffs packaged in plastic wrap, which doesn’t taste as good Kitakaro. If you miss out tasting these delicious puffs, the new chitose airport also has a shop.

Their apple cake seems to be their specialty but there wasn't any sample available to try. Bought a few flavours of their rice crackers instead - I like the scallop and kelp flavours. Can be quite crowded at certain times.

The best little apple pie treats that go perfectly with hot drip coffee. Apparently, these are the best of the best in Hokkaido when it comes to apple treats. Lovely when served hot.

Tasty cream puff and there is this chewy pasty with cream inside, it’s nice too. Eating area in the shop is very small. When it’s crowded, you just have to stand and eat. They sell rice crackers too but I find them just ok.

My wife loved the soft ice cream. Apparently they are popular for their cream puffs but I thought they were pretty normal, I prefer beard papa personally. Had a good selection of japanese snacks and most of them you can try samples before you buy them. Rice cookies that taste like shrimp, hotate (scallops) and more!

Shop with a variety if products, e.g. Rice cracker puffs, cakes, mochi, pastries and soft serves. Lots of samples to try from. I had their cream puff and sweet potato bake from the cafe, both were very nice.

Very generous sample sizes of all products. The apple cake was delicious! Try and get it before a tour rushes in as they'll overcrowd the store.

Snacks available for purchase, but you can grab them at the airport... No need to carry it from here.

The cream puffs that are sold here are really really good. Must try! The other snacks sold here are fantastic too.

They have several shops in Sapporo. This one in Otarua is one of the biggest in Japan. You can find most of their products in the shop and some of the limited editions as well. The shop is famous for it cream puffs. They do 3 different types of puffs. The best one is called the dome where it has a crispy shell and two different types of cream inside. Make sure you go early as they tend to be sold out later in the afternoon. It is easy to find on the Main Street with an orange front door.

The main attention here is the cream puffs. Be sure to arrive early since they tend to get sold out, but if you miss it, there is nothing much to lose although it is quite delicious.

Typical Japanese desserts. I bought a lot of sponge type bread. Very delicious and different from Western dessert. I love the products from this shop.

Got the cream puff on the top. It had a bit of a sourdough flavour to the dough with a mochi texture. Cream was really good.

You have to try the puffs which are so good, not too sweet not too creamy! However it is a little bite crowded; too many tourists.
